An access control system (ACS) is a type of security that manages and controls who or what is allowed entrance to a system. The act of accessing may mean consuming, entering, or using. Permission to access a resource is called authorization. Locks and login credentials are two analogous mechanisms of access control. In the fields of physical security and information security, access control (AC) is the selective restriction of access to a place or other resource while access management describes the process.

Functions of Access control system in Jainam Software.

1.For any kind of business Access Control List plays a Vital role. In any access-control model, the entities that can perform actions on the system are called subjects, Services. An authorization policy specifies Identification and authentication. In Jainam Software, from the Employee entry form, you can decide what initial access you want to give to the employee.  That is Grant admin access, Automatic verification of collection and Login only on Registered device

  1. First Access: Collection automatically verified: is used if you want the employees collection to be automatically verified. That is when collection is done by an employee the collection amount is verified without any authority authorizing it.
  2. Second Access:  Grant Admin Permission. In this access admin or manager gets full access to the software. For example you have a partner or an employee whom you want to give full software access then this box can be checked.
  3. Third access: Login only on registered device. This access locks the device of the employee once he is logged in from a particular device. The employee can then only use that device for his further work .  This maintains security in the system.

2.Access Control List: This option allows the Admin to provide specific access rights to the employee. Admin can select staff, then select staff role and then select access or permission and click the button Add user access. When the employee logs in he/she can see only those screens for which access has been given by the admin. Using the access provided employee can manage his assigned work.

3: Create Role: While creating a new role for an employee, the admin can click on Create new role button and enter role name , role description and can give required access according to the role of employee.

4. Role list: option allows to  manage different functions like edit role, copy role ,delete role etc. Admin can select a role and tick the access required for the employee , this  will save our manual efforts and make work more efficient and smooth.

5.Copy Access: From the access control list option we can easily copy access from one staff to another. It saves our valuable time and manual efforts.

To conclude: Using the Access control list functionality  we can access and control our business according to our company rules and regulations.
